STIR WELDING OF Al – Cu ALLOYS AT DIFFERENT PARAMETER

Conclusion
By this Project, One can get best welding joint properties for
maximum tensile strength by applying different inputs for friction
stir welding . At the end of experiment at the weld point 40 we
get best mechanical properties (Hardness) of welded joint with
61 .324 MPa and 79 .095 MPa tensile strength for cylindrical tool
profile and tapered cylindrical tool profile respectively with tool
speed 1400 rpm and feed rate of 15 mm/min .

Procedure
Objective
Motive behind the project is to joint Aluminum and
copper alloys with solid state friction stir welding
process and analysis the effect of the tool shape
geometry and different tool position and speed .
Three major parameters is carried out first is rotation
speed of tool ( 620 , 930 , 1400 )rpm, second is
transverse speed and (12 , 15 )mm/min and in last the
