Compose an essay in which you evaluate Patel’s work in inter-religious understanding, as described in Acts of Faith. Why does Patel think that interfaith understanding and relationships are necessary in the 21st century (offer two or three concrete reasons)? Do you agree or disagree with his analysis of the need for greater interfaith work; explain your position by identifying specific points in Patel’s discussion that give you concern or that offer you encouragement.
To help you deepen your evaluation, you should also discuss Ed Stetzer’s critique of interfaith work in his 2011 article, “Proselytizing in a Multifaith World.” How does Stetzer’s view of inter-religious engagement differ from Patel’s, and, in your view, does Stetzer score any significant points against Patel?

And you should take pains to portray the views of others accurately and fairly.
