Hello Heather,
I have come across this advertisement a couple of times. I did not find anything appealing with the advertisement. As you have stated in your post, the knee brace advertisement tries to convince the viewers that the particular brace advertised is the best compared to others. The information provided in support of the claim is misleading, as the ad explains how the knee brace has straps that are bond together for more support, yet every knee brace in the market has straps that provide support. The advertised knee brace model, therefore, is not any different from any other knee brace model that is provided in the market.
Hello Bryant,
The issue of biodiversity decline in many parts of the world has been on the social media scene and in the news for quite some time now, with many scientists and biologists expressing concerns that it could have a devastating effect on human beings and their way of life. In the report that you have discussed, the video only addresses a single perspective of the problem, leaving out some important details and information, perhaps to make the story catchier or to make the current situation less severe and serious than it actually is. Advertisements and news channels tend to leave out some information and convey information in a way that twists the information desirably to influence the audience is a certain way.
